TV Converter Box Coupon Program
Congress created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program for households wishing to keep using their analog TV sets after February 17, 2009. If you have an older TV set and use "rabbit ears" or an outdoor antenna to receive free over-the-air signals, you'll need a DTV converter box. A DTV converter box is an easy-to-install electronic device that hooks up to your analog television set and over-the-air antenna and converts the digital television, making it viewable on your analog TV.
A TV connected to cable, satellite or other pay TV service does not require a TV converter box from this program.
Now until March 31, 2009, each household may receive up to two converter box coupons valued at $40 each to help defray the cost of the converter box.
Consumers may request their coupons (supplies are limited) at 1-888-DTV-2009 or apply online. For more information Click Here.
